Civil Engineering branch was started in the year 1980. With the inception of the college. The present intake of the Department is 120. The department is under the affiliation of VTU. The Department has been accredited by NBA in the year 2004 and 2008 and also ISO 9001-2008 certified.

The Department has well equipped laboratories and experienced staff to guide the students in their academic activities.

The Department has the consultancy cell which engages with testing of building materials and building designs. It also carry out quality inspection of civil engineering works of private and governament organizations.
